"Yogi Mahendra's deep respect for life and yoga, and it’s profound practice and wisdom, comes from his associations and lifelong journey of yogic practices in the honored presences of Swami Dharmanand Ji and Sri Acharya Mahapragya since the early ‘80s and Swami Sitaramananda since early 2000s. More on these crown jewels that stem from deep, ancient yogic art and science lineages and iconic grand yoga masters in their own rights at the above links, respectfully."

Yogi Mahendra’s teachings encompass the ancient Preksha system of Meditation and Yoga.  Preksha Yoga is a powerful scientific technique that helps individuals discover hidden powers of the inner self.  This method helps people enhance their overall sense of well-being, recover from chronic illnesses, free the mind from negative emotions, desires and thought patterns, combat stress and diseases like blood pressure, heart ailments, diabetes, mental disorders, cancer and a host of psychosomatic disorders. The word Preksha literally means "perception" and it involves perception of breath, of outer gross body, of internal subtler body composed of vibrations, sensations and other physiological events.  Preksha Yoga restores health and wellbeing at the deepest cellular and emotional level.

In his practices and teachings, Yogi Mahendra empowers his clients and students with overall health maintenance and education on management of common conditions such as lower back pain, cardiac concerns, diabetes, asthma and stress related illnesses such as insomnia and hypertension through a regimen of HRE (Health Rejuvenating Exercises), Yogasana, Pranayama, Meditation, Laughter, Relaxation, Chanting, and Positive Affirmations.
